We are so excited that you are interested in giving us the opportunity to serve you and your teenagers in the training and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6: 4)! Our goal for our Youth Ministry is not unlike the goal of our children’s ministry and our church: to see Teens come to know Christ as their Lord and Savior and to disciple them in His Word thereafter! We have numerous opportunities for your Teenagers here at Gray Station Baptist Church!
First, during our Sunday School hour, we have classes for students 6th grade through 12th grade. We have this broken into two separate classes at this time with 6th and 7th graders in their own class and the 8th through 12th graders in their own class.
Next, on Wednesday evening our students (beginning in 6th grade) have their own fellowship and worship service downstairs in our Youth room. Fellowship time begins at 6 pm each Wednesday and includes various games and activities that are for the purpose of our teens just spending time together as a group and the Youth Worship Service begins at 7 pm each Wednesday right after. Students are encouraged to attend both!
Finally, we make it a goal to take our students out somewhere at least once per month for an outside-of-church event. Events typically include things like ice-skating, paintball, trampoline parks, pool parties, the annual Student Conference at Ridgecrest and more! Most importantly, we involve our students in as many serving opportunities inside and outside of our church as possible as we believe that our Lord Jesus has called us all to serve rather than be served!
